PAN Card Surrender.

Party is having two pan card because old pan was misplaced and not single copy was available with him. He was unaware and applied new pan. Now he has found his old pan and want to surrender one. Old pan is not linked with Aadhar as surname was mismatch and new pan was applied on the basis of Aadhar so it's match with Aadhar. Due to this both pan have different surname. Now what is the procedure to surrender old one ?

You can go to nearest nsdl pan centre or tin facilitation centre and get it surrendered. You will get a receipt. Save it for future reference
Whether he had used his old pan card? if yes then you should surrender new one as if you use old the old records have no use.
Submit surrender pan in correction form and also intimate ito.
