Pan Card for private school

I need to apply for EPF in the name of school therefore i need a pan card in the name of School. School is registered under a society (AOP). For school's pan, in which category should i apply?

It depends on case to case.

In your case ,you should apply PAN under AOP

It depends on which cases and What will be the documents for identity proof and address proof?

If the school is registered under trust then PAN should be applied under trust category, if registered under AOP then it should be under AOP category


a) Copy of Agreement; or

b) Copy of Certificate of Registration Number issued by Charity Commissioner or Registrar of Co-operative Society or any other Competent Authority; or

c) Any other document originating from any Central Government or State Government Department establishing Identity and address of such person.


You can use the agreement between the members as ID proof & address proof

While filing the application for obtaining the license for the Community radio, all these years Government of India was accepting the PAN card of the Trust/society of the educational institutions and not insisting on separate PAN for the Educational institutions.
 
However since last 1 year, they are insisting that, the applicant, I mean the Educational institutions also should have their own PAN card.
 
As Government of India is now insisting for applicants for CRS to have their own PAN card, can we obtain separate PAN for the educational institutions?  If so, there will be repercussions etc on having separate PAN card like filing audit report, Income tax etc. 
 
Request your suggestion on this matter.
