in my opinion u cannot surrender your pan card if you have only one pan card
First of all there is no need to cancell the pan card, as it is the life time identity of any person. Secondly, if you think that having a pan card with you made you mandatory to file the return of income then please note if you have income which is under the taxable limit (i.e. for this assessment year below Rs. 1.5 lacs) then that there is no need to file the return of income. And after this if you again think to cancell the pan card then file a written application to your Assessing Officer to cancell the same.
hey brother... you need to intimate your AO about dissolution of the firm.... that would itself mean that the AO will make a last assessment of the firm till the date of dissolution... and i think that would also take care of the pan...
And when the firm ceases to exist, the PAN will also not be alive anymore...
