Dear All,

I am confused over paid - up capital that what do i can better understand it, i have seen a lot of query on this but still it is making me confuse " Pls. tell me what is paid up capital where a compnies autorised capital is only 100000 and three shareholder having capital of 98000 , 2000 and 2000 each"

Paid up capital means capital which is actually paid in full by your share holders..

In your case if Rs. 1lac is paid then 1 lac will be your paid up capital....

Authorised capital means the amount of capital  a company is authised to raise. It is normally mentioned in Memorandam of assoication. The company cannot raise more capital than this limit unless permitted by Registrar by application. 

Within this limit, a company issues shares. Paid up capital means shares issued by a company for which it has received nominal value in payment
