There was an outstanding tax for the AY 2022-23. The was ordered in October 2022 and already remitted the tax in November 2022. But the same has been shown as outstanding. A week ago response filed by selecting demand correct. Challan already paid but still is showing as outstanding pending payment. Whether i had to select the option disagree?. How much time required to update the status.?

Unless the amount is paid against demand u/s. 245, it is uncertain to specify any exact time period.
If not removed by 30 days, file grievance.
You can proceed by selecting disagree and attach copy of challan and mention the same details as well on the body of the response.
Then AO will correct the demand status.

Since the orginal damand is correct, I selected demand is correct and tax already paid. Whether I had to select disagree?
Since I selected demand correct but already paid the challan. Reply option disabled for notice u/s 245 and the refund adjusted. What is the remedy to get the refund back. The demand raised in October 2022 is correct so I paid the challan in November 2023. that's why I selected the option demand correct but already paid the challan
ONCE YOU SAID DEMAND IS CORRECT AND YOU SUBMITTED CHALLAN DETAILS, SUBMIT RESPONCE BUTTON IS GONE MEANS GAME OVER, CHAPTER CLOSED.
THEY TAKE THERE OWN SWEET TIME TO DISAPEAR FROM OUTSTANDING DEMAND. SOME TIMES IT TAKE 3 MONTHS ALSO.
ONE DISAPEAR YOU WILL FINE IN AIS UNDER REFUNDS AND DEMAND.
