One or two groups in november ?

Final 2710 views 18 replies

Hi guys

I have cleared my PCC in November 2011 with a decent score...  Although am eligible to write the exam in may am posponing it for November 2012. I've joined for classes for SFM and Financial Reporting and am planning to do self studies for law and auditing. I have not attended a single class for second group subjects (especially AMA , DT and IDT) . The classes for the next batch commence only in may and it ll go till the end of september. moreover i ll have classes tarting from 5 - 9. Which will eat up my evening study time.. I ll oly be left with 7 hrs a day to study the entire period between may and september.. How will i be in a position to study both groups alongside attending classes? I want to write only first group in November.. and attend classes alone for second group...Attending classes and studying i feel wont be very difficult if am writing only one group.. But its a whole lot of 8 months from now! Am very confused as to what i should do.. Please give me ur valuable suggestions !

Thanks & Cheers

Divya

Congragulations for completing PCC.

U only know what ur capability.  Dont follow your moods.  utilize the time purposefully.  Persue what your heart says.

Remember your goals and strive efforts to reach it......

Kind regards..

First Of All Congrats..... As At The End Of Feb There Is Still 6 Clear Months (Excluding Sept, Oct) Which Is More Than Sufficiant According To Me. It's Doesn't Matter Whether To Go for Classes or Not, Because At The End, Self-Preparation Will Do All For U. So Look For Both Groups. Just Remember "Selecting One Group Means Already Accepting Another Attempt."

Thank you all !!

@ Mayur , do u think self studies will be sufficient for second group subjects??

Dear Divya,

Your study schedule suggests that you should go for G-1. 5-9 hours, in a day, should be sufficient for G-1. If you will go for Both, in addition to your tuition time, you should also have 12-16 hours. So, I am suggesting G-1.

Thanks

Divya I suggest you go ahead with giving Group 1 only in November. Reson is that, managing 3 tuitions of Group 2, including the huge DT, would be a bit difficult. Even though it would be manageable if you slog it out, you need a little break from studies as well, after your PCC in November. So just concentrate on Group 1 till end of May, and then if you feel you're almost done with it, then you can take a call on giving both groups if you're comfortable with it.

HEY DIVYA DON'T EVEN THINK OF GIVING BOTH GROUPS IN NOVEMBER.

I APPEARED FOR ONLY SECOND GROUP IN NOVEMBER AND SCORED 243/400 WITH 66 IN ISCA , 66 IN DT AND 61 IN IDT.

THESE SUBJECTS ARE QUITE HEAVY.

I WOULD SUGGEST U TO CONCENTRATE ON ONLY ONE GROUP .

BUT I WOULD SUGGEST U TO WRITE GROUP 2 FIRST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT IT IS TOUGHER THAN GROUP 1

SO IF U CLEAR GROUP 2 YOUR CONFIDENCE LEVEL SHALL BE HIGH.

1st of all congrats 4 ur Result...smiley

2ndly as u say that u started the classes of A/c & SFM nd want to prepare Audit  & Law self…..

nd u’ll hav 2 start classes of 2nd grp from May….

So, what I suggest that prepare 1st grp with ISCA as much u can upto May,

Nd prepare 2nd grp with the classes…..

Bt u hav 2 work hard in Sep & Oct. as u’ll have to Revise all subjects…..

So as per my opinion Go 4 both grps……..

I disagree with all the above comments. sorry. but it is my personal opinion. I would like u to go for both the groups. Imagine if u cant do both groups study in 9 months then how can it be possible in the subsequent 6 months. U have ample time. see classes are just for satisfaction to one that yes portion has been completed and then we need to put in efforts to reach our goal.

For law - No class is rqd.

For ISCA - if u go for class faculty will be happy that atlast one student enrolled

For IDT - no class is required. Study bangar book. Thats all. U will for sure get exemption

For Audit - it is extension of PCC auditing syllabus . so no class required.

For DT - it is 50 50 case. so take ur call.

Just take that barrier from mind that if i dont complete classes i will not clear. all wrong things take out . For sure u will clear. Go ahead. First of all take rest for 15 days. then start .

Above are my personal views. i m not telling that classes are not important. they are but they not alone are going to make us pass. we have to atlast put our efforts.

go for both group...

start prearing from today..

should have at least 1 month for revison..for all subjects.after finishing on ur own.
...make ur basic strong.. be thorough in standards text whether its AS ,SA. guidance notes..making notes of complex chapters will help in last minute revision.

TAKE COACHING FOR ALL SUBJECTS.....if good teacher is in ur reach....if not then u can do auditing,ISCA self....law bhi kar sakte par...bahut sare sections he forgetting ki tendency rehti..tthat why taking class will aid...

I agree AABHISHEK KHURANA statement.

Going for one group is d only best option.. Giving both d groups would be stupidity i mus say.

Bless You :)

Hey ..

A lil mixed rviews out there.... But thank you allllllllllllllllllllllll soooooo much for allll the valuable suggestions... Now its me who has to deicide...!! I will asap !!

thnx again..

SKIPPING AN ATTEMPT WOULD BE YOUR COSTLIEST MISTAKE.

I have seen first attempters of PCC not clearing even 1 grp in final evn aftr studyin for 10 months n people clearing 1 grp after 2 months study that too without any coaching though they cleared PCC in 4 attempts.

Hardwork and luck both matter.

But do give this may attempt and picture would be quite clear to you about what has to be done next.

Dont run away from failure. May be its just an illusion and you may fair out with good numbers.

So give your 1st grp in May 12 with whatever time you have and rest you will be able to judge yourself.

Dont think too much and start acting fast rather than wasting time taking opinions from people who even dont know your potential.

Also dont underestimate yourself.

Skippin this attempt would be of no benefit.

And if you decide not to give this may attempt please atleast take some advice from your seniors who you think would give you wise suggestion
