hi,
I would like to know from my seniors whether one must go for 1 grp or both group for IPCC exam?? do we get sufficient time during articleship to work and study simultaneously for group 2???

just concentrate of 1st group . Atleast your training will start and you get 3.5 year to clear you 2nd group and final .
Prefer both groups, if you sincere and diligent and above average in brains. 2 months of study (assuming you have taken coaching for major subjects like accounts, cost fm) of around 6-8 hours/day is enough.
it depends on how much u have prepared till now....in case u are almost 80% finished with 1st group till January then go for both groups...or else just 1st one...depends on ur caliber .......
Its easier to prepare for 2nd group along with 1st group ......
Preferable go for both the groups as it helps in aggregate of marks...

Will help a lot in preparing for Both groups in final too...

I will suggest you to give both groups but first complete the syllabus of first group then only start the second one.

thank you everyone..... nd finally i hv decided to give both groups in may if I complete with my grp 1 studies till april ........
I think it is better to prepare for gr 1 than preparing for both. bcz u have choice . so gr 1 will give u better result than going for both.
