Okay Enough is enough......when?

Okay guys lets face it. Attempt after attempt after attempt…..

For how long should one allow this to go on? Should one stop somewhere..? Should there be an upper limit to patience?

My personal opinion is that CA is great qualification to have, best in class for audit, very competitive for finance, opens a lot of doors; all fine but what I always think is that CA or for that matter any other qualification is not an end, it is a means to an end. The end is what you want to achieve over a longer term in your life.

So what is your take on when to pull the plug (if at all) ...?

Disclaimer:  I want to put an important disclaimer that I do not wish to encourage anyone for quitting CA and I wish you all, the very best that you would not have to face this situation ever. I do not doubt the integrity and fairness of the CA exams but then any exams system has pros and cons and what if you have constantly been unsuccessful in getting through.

DONT QUIT

Thanks Amit for your reply, but my intent was to open a discussion on Should one quit CA after certain attempts..?

If yes when...what is the maximum limit you think you should try before jumping on to another option.?

In my opinion one should quit CA after 4 attempts at any stage wthr CPT or IPCC or Final. 4 attempts like taking 1 grp 2 times. in my view this is enough coz i also believe tht CA or any other qualification is just a means not an end. thr r various other very good options available. One of my frnd has given PE 2 6 times. in 3rd attempt he cleared I grp n after tht he is struggling to clear the second one. n waiting for results of his 7th PE 2 attempt which will be declared soon. n i feel it's useless wasting so much of time. these r all my personal thoughts. ppl here might agree or disagree. no offenses plz
