u want meaning of Octrai or Octroi?
meaning of Octroi is local taxes.
local tax collected on various articles brought into a district for consumption.
Octroi stands for entry tax which you have to pay while entering in octroi zone. Now a days Octroi is applicable in Maharastra and Karnatka.

octrai is the tax, paid when goods are entering into the city and the tax collected is used for development of city
