Number of exemptions to be claimed - ca final

Final 626 views 2 replies

I have scored 60 marks in two subjects Group 1 but failed in Paper 1 - Financial reporting.

The exemptions are in the same attempt. i.e. In this result itself of the 4 papers appeared i got 60 in two (no earlier exemptions carried)

My questions is Can i claim exemption in both the papers that i have scored 60 and appear only for the other two.

Checked the icai site, it  does not mention that i cannot, but wanted to get confirmation on the rule

Thanks

Yes you are entilted for exemption in both the papers in which you have secured 60 + for the next 3 attempts. i.e., this exemption will be enjoyed by you for Nov 14, May 15, Nov 15 examinations.

Hence, you need to appear in the remaining two papers only in Group 1.

Congrats for securing exemption in two papers, that is a good achievement indeed. Focus on the remaining papers and clear your examination at the earliest.

Best wishes
