today vice president of the institute visited ernakulam branch of ICAI.. n he announced tht Final papers for november will be held on alternate days.. ie. one day off before each exam!!!! :)

I hope what u said or rather what u heard (rumour/news???????) ......is right and will happen that way. It will defenitely help us in preparation..... but i think institute will have some other plans also to counter it.... like very hard papers or tough checking....... u never know.

Hi all,

I am writing my PCE in nov'08. Till now, i have not done any complete preparation for the exam . Rather, i tend to forget the things i learn due to office work. I will be given 3 months of leave for the exam. Tell me if i will be able to clear PCE in first attempt, if i sincerely study during my study leave.

3 months r sufficient to pass the exams... but for that for get everything else and start studying hard!

As far as this alternate day exam thing is concerned.. i don't think that this is possible at all... just for the simple reason that many things have to be considered (e.g availability of exam centre, checking time for papers will also get reduced by smthing like 10-12 days in that case) and since there is no official communication on this one i feel its better to prepare myself keeping in mind that the papers will be back to back!!

Is there any official notification regarding rhe alternate exams or gassips

i understand the excitement and curiosity...

and i dont know if theres any notification in this regard as of now.. coz it ws only yesterday tht vice president Mr Agarwal announced it here in ekm branch.. n the reason for the same is bad results due to tension in those 8 days...he even announced teh same in a members seminar here.. n he said it will b effective frm nov 08 examinations..

n vishal u r rite.. even i feel paper/ valuation will b tougher after this..

n i have nothin else to make u guys believ this.. v wil have to wait n watch..
