I File ITR -4S Of a client for the assement year 2016-2017. After some days it shows notice u/s 245 of outstanding tax liability of which i have already paid. Thenafter i submit response of that desagree with demand after attaching the file of tax paid.
But still it shows the same demand.
Please help me solving this query.
This notice states about setting off past tax dues from current refund amount. So, see the notice must be mentioning the year of tax due. And then check intimation of that year to see any mismatch from computation.
