One of my colleague has received notice from income tax authorurity. u/s 143(1)(a) .He errouneously did not show " Income from other sources" at the time of filling of returns for the assesment year 2017-18. Now what he has to do? He had received refund amounting Rs 2000 from the Income tax.
Pl suggest.
If the suggestion by department are acceptable, just reply the notice as accepted; and accordingly file corrected revised return.
Otherwise also, the department will refund the amount after adjusting the excess tax liability........ so, not replying it will also be same.......
