i hav a doubt........ anyone pls provide a solution regarding service tax asap.... like registration for service tax is not required if the value of service do not cross 10 lac or 9 lac..........here is a confusion for me which amt is correct? bcoz somwhre i read 10 lac  and in the book it is given 9 lac...............what is the difference in these 2 values........... is thre ny silver lining b/n d amt?........pls do reply anyone........... 

THERE IS DIFFRENCE...THE LIABILITY ARISE TO PAY SRVICE TAX WHEN N SSP(SERVICE PROVIDER) PROVIDED MORE THAN TAXABLE SERVICE OF 10LACS......

BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED ONLY AFTER 9 LACS...

WHEN TAXABLE SERVICE EXCEEDS 9 LACS....

REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM...THE DAY OF EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT
