No Dues In Gst

Dear Sir/Mam,
Is there any provision under any act or section to issue No-Dues certificate/letter to the taxpayer ?
Please resolve the query with reference of act/section.

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the possibility of obtaining a 'No Dues' certificate under GST. While there's no explicit provision for such a certificate, taxpayers can demonstrate tax compliance by presenting their electronic ledgers or liability registers from the GST portal, along with a self-declaration, to satisfy government department requirements for firm registration.

No there is no requirement. Is your customer requesting for one?
But its not a big deal in giving a certificate if he is insisting.
its your choice ultimately

Yes Sir,
My customer requested the same as needed in registration of the firm in a govt department for contracting as a document of registration.
When i asked the jurisdiction officer of the state to issue the same. He told me that the firm falls in Center Jurisdiction as per the profile.
When i reached the officer of center department, he denied to issue the letter and told me no letter is issued in the title of No-Dues.
Your self assessed returns are determining your tax dues unless a departmental assessment is done in your case.
so you may show the electronic ledgers to establish that there are no pending dues.

Just provide them liability register from portal along with self declaration
