Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether an individual with salary income in FY 2020-21 who opted for the new tax regime can continue with it in FY 2021-22, even with the addition of business income. The key requirement is to file Form 10IE by the due date. It's important to note that individuals with business income can only choose the new tax regime once and cannot switch back in subsequent years.

Yes, after filling form 10 IE within due date.

Hi Amit!

Mr. Dhirajlal is correct, you can opt if you file form 10IE within due date but please note those with business income can only choose once and not switch back ever year like in case of people other than business income.

Thanks
