Hi,

The MCA has started a new service for the benefit of all.

From now onward, one can check from MCA site, Details of Companies in which a person is / was a Director.

For that,

1. One has to log in to MCA and then;

2. Select Companies in which a person is/was a director option under Services head.

3. Just enter DIN No. and you will get all the required information, like Name of the Co., current designation, Date of appointment, Date of appointment, Date of Resignation, Company status and Defaulting status etc.,just in few seconds.

I have one query : In case of public limited company while calculating rotational director and directors retire by rotation both whole time directors and part time directors considered or not.

Combined reading of section 255 and 256 suggests----2/3 directors are rotational and 1/3 are non-rotational directors. As par practice while calculating 2/3 and 1/3 WTD and MD are considered as non-rotational directors.

On the other hand ordinary directors are considered as rotational director.

It is a public company, but limits of sec 269 not apply becz of less Capital, 4 directors appointed as Executive Directors & 3 as Non ED, it means while calculating 2/3, that 4 not considered. (articles play any role or not)
