Negative Balance in GSTR 2A

While filing GSTR 9 for one of our clients, we have downloaded GSTR 2A annual details in Excel & noticed that the balance in GSTR 2A for one month is showing negative balance. But while we verified the same in that specific month, there is no negative balance in GSTR 2A. Can some one please explain to me what is the reason for attaining negative balance in GSTR 2A.
