Neft transactions-income tax

How does income tax finds out your inward NEFT transaction if your bank doesn't report it ?

If i have some incoming amount more than 100,000 through NEFT, how does the income tax finds out about the same ?

Does RBI plays a role here as NEFT is cleared through RBI ?

Not as such.

But ITD can get the details from RBI, if it needs.

All transactions incoming or outgoing in your bank account are available to ITD as banks are required to submit AIR to ITD for certain transactions.
There is no any role of RBI. There is a PAN for your bank account and through PAN, ITD collects information

But AIR submitted by bank should reflect in 26as form.   right ?

What does it mean if 26as AIR entry is empty ?

AIR appearing in 26AS is by of information only.
it's not compulsory by ITax department for such entries in 26AS
