Friends,

I am at a very crucial stage of my career. I have a B.COM (Honors in Accountancy) and an M.B.A (Marketing) degree. I started my career in a KPO and mainly worked for a mortgage bank having expertise in US Mortgage loans underwriting. Its been more than 10 yrs in this industry and mortgage domain. I have always had this intention to get into finance domain and handle financial processes. I am planning to go for ICWA so that I am in better position to handle processes like financial reporting, Technical accounting etc. CPA, CFA, CIIA were also considered but CPA cannot be done from India and I do not want to spend 1-2 lakhs for CFA. CA due to mandatory articleship is ruled out (since I am working).

Would request the experienced members of this forum to guide me here. I am also open to other financial certifications/courses.

I thnk FRM or PRM will be a good qualification too.

i would advice you to do CMA (usa) from IMA and then apply for icwai (icai) membership ,dont waste time in ICWAI ,it is too rigourous with almost 14 papers , postal coaching, computer training, modular training ,etc etc

you will get icwai membership with less than 1/3 of effort if you do it from IMA ,icwai is much suitable for students who have passed their 12 or graduation
