Hi mansi....

For Auditing... plz purchase Paduka Publisher's book on Auditing... you may not get the P.E 2 version of it. You can purchase the PCC or IPCC version. The portion is the same....

As for Tax... singhania is a good book. Continue with the same. I too wrote P.E 2 this june... You seem to be very good in accounts, for this time the A/c paper was the toughest and comparatively your acc marks are excellent. As for Tax... This was the toughest paper in P.E 2 this time seconded by Acc... For auditing the paduka book is very good for fast covering up of portion. Tax, Acc and Cost you must have practised a great deal by now and must be having notes of the same.... Jes peruse them. Concentrate on theory subjects like IT, Aud and Corp Law.... Theory papers should be easier to score....

For tax... I think you have 25 marks for CST. Make that part very strong. Try to score atleast 20/25 there.... tht should help in Tax

For Aud... the first 2 questions are 36 marks... dealing with AS, CARO, Company Audit..... Get these aspects strong as this will help you in Acc too for a 20 marks question on AS

As far as Auditing is concern, now a days they are asking practical case law more which is tough for the student such as PE-2 and for the P.C.C student who do Dummy articleship, Auditing is not the subject you have to Mug up, just read it with an interest you will find out easy, I have cleared this time P.C.C in my first attempt and in auditing I have refered only modules, In auditing it is better you have the knowledge of all AAS because every where you have to give reference of AAS for the case laws, and as far as Income tax is concerned I have reffered TAXMANN because many practical question are there in it, and Income tax its better you read Vat and Service tax because it is round about 30 marks and the lenght wise it is short and it can be read easily during the Exam time which is good.

One general point is that at the exam time you only read those chapter which you have read before, don't go for the new chapters.

thanx shreyas and bhagyesh for such good suggestion thanks and i wil definitely follow it

Well Mansi first of all there is no short cut for any subject and u require to study the subject in depth with the understanding. specifically in direct taxes it is require you study provision of Income tax with practicle approach. if you just read the books it not a meaningful even for exam purpose.

if u find language difficult in singhania may i suggest you tn manoharan, its a good book which is comparatively easier to understand concepts.
