In my opinion, go for ICAI study material first or form ICAI material only as base for law. . After that you can refer any book. 

If you see recent IPCC papers  of law, you will notice questions directly touching study material. Kindly do not neglect study material in any case. Develop analytical mind to answer questions in law(purely case study type). In other words, have a conceptual clarity in law.
