Based on facts mentioned by you I have made a Computation but surprisingly the amount computed is altogether different from your return as well as Intimation u/s 154..

The said computation is attached herewith..Please have a look at it and If you are still not clear then Please Provide the Complete Details of Your Computation as well as Intimation..

Please send me filne in MS office 2003 format through save as the file as...

Before you move application u/s 154 for rectification, please tell me whether for A/Y 2003-04 YOU HAVE RECEIVED ANY INTIMATION U/S 143(1) OR NOT. BECAUSE INCASE YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INTIMATION U/S 143(1) EARLIER THEN THE PRESENT ORDER  U/S 154 MIGHT BE TIME BARRED...

There is lot of disput in this file. I have not received any intimation till 2008 Jan, 09. After Jan, 08 I have receiced a demand notice of Rs. 7,00,000/- for which I immediately contact at the concerned ward where I know my file was transferred to another ward and there my file was lost. After paying bribe and lot of harresment they reconstruct my file and I got this order U/s 154. And I think the interest calc is wrong and I filed rectification letter but till now I have not received any reply.

Dear Subhajit, I will advice you that

First,  REMOVE ALL THE ATTACHMENTS THAT YOU HAVE MADE ON CACLUB INDIA REGARDING THIS QUERY..SINCE ALL THOSE CONSTITUTE THE COPIES OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS..

Secondly, One Thing is sure that the  Interest Calculation specified in the order u/s 154 is INCORRECT...SO NO NEED TO PANIC..

Thirdly, Since by moving an application for rectification You have done your part Lets just wait for the reply from the side of the department..Let me tell you 1 more thing that if NO REPLY COMES FROM THE DEPARTMENT WITHIN A PERIOD OF 6 MONTHS FROM THE END OF THE MONTH OF UR APPLICATION THEN UR CLAIM STANDS ALLOWED..
