For Being A Resident - Your Stay In Previous Year Should Be 182 Days atleast....

In your case the stay in India is = 365 - (12*10) = 365 - 120 = 245

Thus you are a Indian Resident, and anything recieved by a resident is taxable.....thus your income from UAE Employer will be taxed here.

I am on work permit in singapore and they deduct tax from my salary. I was there from 1st December 2011 to 15th May 2012. Is my earnings from singapore taxable in India (they have already deducted tax in singapore) I am also going to Singapore again on 1st July for 3 months.

Helo officer ,

The income that you have earned in singapore is foreign income. It is  not taxable if you are a non -resident.     No of days you have stayed in INDIA is 107 days.An individual is named as non- resident if no of days he has stayed in INDIA is or more than 182 days .Since you have stayed in INDIA is less than 182 days ,you are a non-resident .Hence it is not taxable .And i have assumed you have been in INDIA during may for 16 days ,june, october, november.

Dilip Sir, As a matter of fact, nothing is double taxed and it includes international taxation too. As you said you have paid tax to Singapore Govt. already, it wouldn't be taxed here. In case you were a resident, you would have to fill up a separate form to avail deductions but as for now, taking divya's calculations....i presume you are not a resident....so no hassle, you aren't liable for taxes.
