hello friends.. i have registred with icai for ca final. my attmept due in nov 14. i am confuse about to get books now from icai or later after june. Some of my friends suggested me to get it after june so i can have updated books which may not be present. m feeling it may not get much late n it will result in delay of studying from pm n module. pls. guide me what should i do?

Try to study other subjects or chapters which is less likely to undergo major changes.

Dear Mr Ajay

Institute will publish books only once in the month of January of every year. Once in month of June/July the reprint editon unless there is change in syllabus

Practice manual includes past year questions which will be updated upto last but one attempt.

Institute will realease the new materials in the website icai.org/studen/knowledgeportal

So you can go ahead with reading from old books and compare with the latest ammended books from institute website (if any ) and then decide to purchase.

All ammendments will be covered in RTP's. Except law there wont be much change in any other subject in First group. For 2nd group dont depend only on institute material try to get some other books by authors in market especially for DT and IDT

Refer to latest of Jan 2014 Practice manual strictly for DT and IDT subjects + RTP most of them will be covered in this.
