On 02.12.2018 I made a journal entry
Bank account 20000
To Xyz ltd 20000
On 04.12.2018, I realised that payment belonged to ABC ltd. Please suggest me that if i need to modify the entry or pass new journal voucher entry by debiting Xyz and crediting abc account.
Which is the best option adhering tp accounting rules
Modify or New journal entry??
