Mistake in late return

Nothing to worry If mistake in name is minor as PAN is basic element for processing assessment. 

If name is entirely different, then make an application to IT Dept of conecerned jurisdiction.

I agree with CA Subhash Dangi. While filing your return if u have mistanken in writing the name of the assesse than its not an issue to worry.

what if when PAn no. is incorrect while all other particulars are correct, it hapends in one of my case..........pls suggess

File Revise return with correct PAN details if e-filing has been done within due date.

If it is belated return, then make an application to IT Dept of conecerned jurisdiction quoting the reference and acknowledgement No. and date of of belated return.

i have one query i have misplaced acknoweldgement of one of my client , so not able to find it. so now how to regain it????

If it is filed online, u need to have PAN and password of your client to get the detilas of acknowledgement no under My Accounts in E-filing site.

no, it was not e filling case.............so what to do now? any help

Ask your client, get the acknowledgement and make an application ot ITO where it is filed for rectification of mistake.

no he has  not filled for rectification, nothing has been done till now....... whats the procedure for getting back duplicate or original copy of acknowledgement

The option for u is to approach the concerned AO for duplicate copy of income tax return where it was filed along with another application for rectification of said mastake. ITO will definitely help in this regard.
