in accordance to sec. 179 the quarterely results need to be approved at the board meeting only.
sec 177 include the above in the list of the items to be filed under MGT-14
my understanding is that A pvt. ltd. co. is not required to approve its quarterly results - its not mandatory.
hence, MFT-14 need not be filed at every quarter.

Yes, in case of a private company it is sufficient if the working results are 'reviewed' by the Board. These have to be 'approved' only in case of listed companies.
