I have been advised surgery for polycystic ovaries and fibroids in my uterus. The problem is that there are several tests that have been recommended prior to surgery and the surgeon says that I will need to take medication for some time even after the surgery. I know that I can get cashless hospitalization and surgery but what about all the expenses before and after the procedure? Can I claim for them too?

Yes, there are Mediclaim policies that cover pre and post hospitalization expenses. You can claim for tests and medication for 30 days prior to surgery and 60 days post surgery in some policies.
