| I have this query when a peson being an individual pays medical insurance premium by account payee cheque then can get deduction u/s 80D. Further if this medical insurance premium is reimbursed by his employer...then will he get exemption under the proviso to Section 17(2) where such reimbursement is not a perk as well as deduction u/s 80D????/ |
Yes..provided the scheme is approved by Central Govt or IRDA...
