Sir, senior citizen category (Above 80 years) is still there. popularly called very senior citizen or super senior citizen. So senor citizens above 60 but below 80 and senior citizens above 80 yrs. No changes in these.
Mr. Pravin, PLS refer the amended section 80D. W. E. F 01/04/2019, very senior citizen term is omitted. Only senior citizen for the purpose of 80D and 80DDB as well

My query is not about the classification of assessee.
My point is whether an amount spent on medical expenses during the year is allowed under section 80D who is not a member of any medical insurance scheme. If allowed what is the amount permissible..
