Yo do get medical expenses allowed not on specified diseases under 80DDA . Under 80DD for such specified expenses on dependents
under 80D, if you are senior citizen, you can claim medical expenses to an maximum of 30000
Under 80D medical expenses 30000 is for very senior citizens (above 80 years)
From 01/04/2019 there's no category such as very senior citizen. The term "very" is omitted. So only senior citizen term is applicable from 01.04.2019
Sir, senior citizen category (Above 80 years) is still there. popularly called very senior citizen or super senior citizen. So senor citizens above 60 but below 80 and senior citizens above 80 yrs. No changes in these.
Mr. Pravin, PLS refer the amended section 80D. W. E. F 01/04/2019, very senior citizen term is omitted. Only senior citizen for the purpose of 80D and 80DDB as well
Noted sir
🙏🙏🙏
Under 80D medical expenses upto 50000 is for senior citizen
Sir My query is not about the classification of assessee. My point is whether an amount spent on medical expenses during the year is allowed under section 80D who is not a member of any medical insurance scheme. If allowed what is the amount permissible..
