I think you are talking about the exemption benefit u/10 and you are a salaried person. If you then still you don't take the benefit as now there is new provision of standerd deduction rs. 40000 instead of medical expenses exemption.
His wife is pregnant and he is salaried person and he is taking treatment of his wife that medical expenses can we take as medical expenditure
Medical expenses exemption has been replaced by standerd deduction rs 40,000
From fy 19-20 the standard deduction is Rs. 50,000.
