wanted to know whether the 9 months articleship for direct entry students before giving ipcc exam, is excluding leave or including leave. is it like when you start your aricleship and upto your ipcc exam your 9 months period should be complete instead of exact 9 working months ? i have registered as on 19 -7 -2013 and my 9 months period is completing on 18-4-2013, but i m taking leave of 3 months from feb. for exams so will i be eligible to appear in may 14 attempt. Thanks in advance.

as per icai norms,leave due to exams are allowed and they will be counted as served days during your training.
thanks gyati gupta. but i think leave in exam days are allowed not study leave for exams. correct me if i m wrong.
study leaves are also allowed.
1/6 th days of the total training period may be allowed as leave
and most students utilise their permissible leaves in the name exam preparation.

one thing very important to note that 1/6th leave of the actual period served are allowed, not the total training prd.
