yes there is no criteria u should have to score minimum 40 marks in each subject and atleast 200 to pass in that group.exemption help in aggregrating marks but does not reduce the icai criteria.exemption rules are so tight.
yes there is criteria to get minimum marks in the others subject except the exempted subject and that is 40 for minimum and 50 for qualifiying the group lyk if a/c is exempt than u hv to get atleast 50% in other two paper that is audit and law and it can be either 40+60 or 42+58 but it can't be lyk 38+62

wat u said is applicable in cwa..not in ca..tats a great advantage u have in CA...
to get exemption no minimum critera, but for next attempt to clear group you need atleast 40 in all remaining subjects and total 200 including marks scored in exempted subject.
if u score 60 in one paper means u must score minimum 30 marks in another 2 paper then only u get exemption...this statement was said by my senior chartered accountant...
