When shall an individual be termed as a 'Major' for the purpose of assessment?
a) When he is more than 18 years old on 1st January of the previous year
OR
b)When he completes 18 years at any time in the previous year???

the staus of assessee will be checked at the end of the previous year...so he will be termed major anytime when he completes 18 yrs in the previous year.
when he completes 18 yrs in the previous year then he will be called major
