"document of title": If transferred from one person to another the delivery would be complete and the buyer has full rights on the goods.

"document showing title": this is merely a paper showing who has the current title of the goods

E.g. A bearer cheque is a document of title. If you transfer it to another person , he can encash it and take possession of money

however a crossed cheque(cheque which has to be debited into a particular bank account) is a document showing title. If transferred to someone else they can't encash it as the amount will be credited by the bank to the account number written on the cheque
