Lovers' Park for Patna'ites; Promises Matuk Nath. Photo by Shashi UttamWhile leaders like Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav are talking about economic prosperity in Bihar and how to provide education and health care to all, the self-styled 'love guru' Prof. Matuk Nath Chowdhary, released his own electoral manifesto promising to build a 'lovers' park' in Patna to promote the message of love among all.

Accompanied by his live-in girlfriend Julie who is less than half his age, Prof. Matuk Nath, who recently announced his candidacy as an Independent candidate, said the park would cater to all the lovers in the state capital.

He also offered help to the Romeos and Juliets of the state saying they needed good advise on their relationship and he was the right person to do so.

"India, besides being an agrarian nation, is also a s*x-centric country and that is why the youths of the nation deserved a leader who understood their predicaments," the love guru said.

The professor's girl friend said that Matuk Nath was the only right candidate from the Patna Saheb constituency because he was above petty politics that were the hallmarks of today's career politicians.

"His politics is not based on caste or communalism. He is only for promoting love in the society and by building a lovers' park in the city, he would help remove some of the misgivings of s*x among the youths. This would help them in concentrating on their studies which, in turn, would produce good citizens," Julie said.

It may be recalled that Abha Chowdhary, the wife of Professor Matuk Nath for nearly three decades, filed charges against him in July 2006 under various acts including

Section 341 (wrongful restraining), 323 (causing injury), 307/34, (attempt to kill and causing injury on provocation), 494 (bigamy), and 498-a (cruelty).

On July 7, 2006, students of B. N. College where Prof. Chowdhary taught Hindi course, broke into a police cordon and painted the professor's face with black paint after learning about his extra-marital affair with a girl less than half his age. The drama was shown live on TV as his wife also got into a physical scuffle with Julie pulling her hair and bumping her head on the ground.

Nine days later, the Patna University authorities fired the professor on the ground that he had acquired the university housing by providing false information.

I think an MLA or an MP has a lot more serious issues to consider than making a lovers park. This is nothing else than one more political drama. A step to gain pre poll publicity. God save our country from these power crazy and money chasing RASCALS. Sorry to use this language, but these people do not deserve anything more than this.

Even for a moment if we think that his intentions are good, still shouldnt he be talking (rather doing) more about providing drinking water and sanitation, building roads and infrastructure, assisting agriculture, providing jobs and reducing poverty, creating law and order and enhancing security.............Bihar (and Patna included) has much much more to achieve to be at par with other State capitals than building lovers park.

But ultimately its we who bring them to power, we who give them the liberty to do all the malicious and wrong acts. PLEASE FRIENDS..........PLEASE WAKE UP before its too late. Using this platform, I appeal to each and every one of u to exercise your VOTING RIGHT to the very best of ur understanding and intelligence to choose worthy people to power. Else only Good can save us and our country.

I APPRECIATE YOUR FEELINGS AND TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU-------------------------WHY NOT OUR ELECTION COMMISSION TAKES IT SERIOUSLY

Yes, sandeep is right. Almost 40% of polpulation having no water, Food, House the basic need of a person. At Bihar & Bengal the situation are very bad and the ministers have no time for that.

Thats why they need A SHOE at every public place from the public
