dear vivek ....there is no shortage of job .... if u knw the work u will definetely find a job . if u were dummy student and doesnot have any practical knowledge then its very tough to survive in this competition world

I have to two CA friends with post qualification experiance of 3 years working in a CA firm getting Rs 13000 p.m and this is the reality, professional prospect seems to be not very bright
Where ur freinds are working. In chennai, all CAs are busy except Who doing practice. Practising CAs can do better in future. Working CAs now getting minimum Rs.7 lacs to 15 lacs. This is the situation in Chennai
same case for kolkata
What Vivek said is the sad truth of our profession, high percentage of result , so many passing out and lots of employement , I know people who are highly talented but have to compromise to low paying jobs!
I agree with Abhay and Vivek.. Very bad condition in Mumbai.. Lot of pay compromises!!!!

dear saurabh i dont think you are aware of present market scenario, lots of CA's who are highly talented and also cleared in first attempt are not getting jobs...... no one is ready to give freshers even 3-4 lacs....
CAs who want to practice have to wait for better time. they can earn only after minimum periods of 5 yrs and fresher can choose a btter job in MNCs and Indian Companies with salary atleast rs.6 lacs per annum.CAs who work with CA firm definetly face hard and can improve after 5-8 yrs only

CA is superior then doctors and surgeons and much much much more then engineers ( see below links )After 1 or 2 years situation will change According to report ( American jobs council ,UK accountancy ,EU accountancy)Indian CA's will be higher paid CA's in the world with many fold increase in demand for them and fresher CA,s would get around minimum 18-20 Lac package,there would be hiring spree for Indian CA,s, will be in much great demand therefore many foreign students r also trying to get this professional course ,it will be highest paid Accountancy professional course in the world and they would be scarcity of CA's ,we need 1.89 crore more CA's .And it has started and one Fresher CA(passed in second Attempt)was recruited for 1.38 crore per annul in India, and one Fresher CA got job in US firm with whopping salary of 58 crore Annual(4.85crore monthly )ready to get recruit with such salary ready to get recruit with such salary we need millions OF CA's desperately and demand is increasing many times day by day.
Vivek, u are not aware of lot of opportunities in Chennai. Here CAs getting placement in MNCs and SME sectors. In Tamilnadu lot of SMEs are there, these SMEs are growing rapdily. If u start your carrier in SMEs as Accounts Manager/Executive, u may become a CFO in the same company or another big company over 3 yrs period. Here lot of demand for CAs and semi-qualifed CAs.
