Whether Speculative losses upto the AY 2004-05 can be carried forward for 8 years, as from AY 2005-06, such losses can be carried forward for 4 years. It is correct to assume that speculative losses incurred from AY 2005-06 can be carried forward for 4 years and erlier losses can be carried forward for 8 years.
