LLP Vs Private Limited Company

Hi,

I have been informed by someone that under the current Income Tax rules, it is more tax efficient to form an LLP vs a Pvt Ltd Co. Can someone throw light on how the taxation differs and which one is better?

Also, are there any particular differences between the current law and the new DTC that is schduled to come in effect next year?
