Linking of PAN and Aadhar in HUF accounts

Hi,

Do we need to obtain Aadhar number for HUF accounts since it has been made mandatory to link Aadhar with PAN for all accounts.

No.

1. Just link Aadhar and individual PAN of KARTA,

2. File Karta's detail under tab 'Signing Authority" after login to HUF e-filing account.

Income tax portal allows linking of PAN NUMBERS OF INDIVIDUAL ASSESSEES with Aadhar numbers.

For HUF there is no facility to link Aadhar number of Karta

Although you can add Kartas details as key persons who are authorised to everify the return

Aadhar cards are issued to individual persons, so entities like HUFs (Hindu Undivided Families) do not require a separate Aadhar card. However, if necessary, the Karta's (head of the family) Aadhar number can be attached to the HUF account as part of the KYC (Know Your Customer) process.
