First make people around you to respect women and their parents around you. Indeed avoid indulging & speaking in groups about anything which is against women(gossips etc). There are many incidents which of doesnt come into light, many little children and women are harrazed by their own people, that too who are in home, who are near to them.

In India parents usually say " he is a boy or man can do anything ". but when if parents curtaills a boy who is doing wrong as if in the same manner they curtail a girl, then i wish these acts would lessen.

These attacks are direct attacks towards girls,. But there are many indirect influences and threatens inside the home, or office by collegue or senior, etc, very funnily it doesnt appear to our eyes more over people may ignore thinking the women or girl is not correct.

Mental tortures, influences, abusals through wrong words hurting their mental state etc.,, are very common.

Respect ourself, our Bharatha Matha by not involving into or avoiding those acts of people trying to, train your daughter, sister, mother, friend atleast to slap them who does those acts ,.
