Legal Heir - Income Tax Filing

I lost my mother in November 2021 and I have filed her ITR for A.Y. 2022-23 as Legal Heir. She will continue to have income from fixed deposits and bonds in the next couple of years.

Is it permissible by law to continue filing her ITR as Legal Heir in future till her investments mature OR do I have to show income from these investments in my return OR do I have to mandatorily close all her investments and transfer the proceeds to myself as inheritance?

Any guidance will be highly appreciated!

Regards

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the complexities of filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for a deceased individual as a legal heir. The original poster is seeking clarification on whether they can continue filing their mother's ITR for her ongoing investments until they mature, or if they must transfer the assets and declare the income on their own return. Guidance is sought on the legal permissibility of these options.

No, return to the date she was alive filed by legal heir.
Any income received after her death will be clubbed in the legal heir .

THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE!
