Leave Encashment

A company has provided provision for leave encashment 14,000/- only where as an employee resigned and payment to him on a/c of leave encashment was 19,500/-. It is calculated for 90days  * per day salary.I have two queries

  1. What is the maximum number of days for which an employee can encash his earned leave
  2. Hoe to treat this less provision

2. Balance amount needs to book as expenses in current period.
