From Your profile It's appear that You are working for BSNL,If You be able to do transparency and accountability in BSNL than it's will be your great achievement,so Dear Mr S.N.Gupta,all the best for your new jobs and We hope to hear soon from you,Your experience on this platform.
Wish you all the best MR Gupta for your challenging Assignment
I am sincerly making efforts for transparency and accountability but I am working on such a post in BSNL, where I am unable to make system more transparent and accountable. On getting assocition of professionals I may be capable to do that. If a professional who is chartered accountant may work for transparency and accountability. It is his professional need also.Mr. Prakash Popat you are audit manager working for internal audit or statuary audit. Only statuary auditor is only capable to do this . I am ready to give association to the persons working for RTI.
You still not correct,as far as Indian Situations is concerned,First and Foremost Priorities is Judicial Reform,We are surrounded by adherence to the Outdated, Irrelevant,Incongruence,Complicated and Illogical acts,Rules .......circulars,case laws etc this jungle of laws Putting our Young members more confused and their creativities R being died before it Birth.
Mr Prakash Popat thanks for your views. Really we need judicial reforms and I am an activist of Judicial reforms also. The working of Govt office is poor due to judicial negligence. Now a days Govt. officers is using judicial delay as a tool. Due to negligency of judiciary every common person is confusing that our acts rules or circulars are not correct, relavant. It is also viewed by so many persons that the law is much complicated or illogical. Actually the position is very different the whole judicary is using the judiciary as tool or earning. The parliament is making law in interest of indian citizen but law is not being enforced as enacted. In india it is tradition that the judicial officer having intelligency to settle every greviences and whenever there is any problem in society a commission is appointed by our Govt headed by a retired judge whether he is knowing that issue of not. I think every problem in society having some financial issue but non of financial person is being involved in the commission. Dear friend at the stage of new career we may learn our job of audit through RTI. We may ask so many information from public authorities. I think you are aware that our CA`s are using RTI in their working.
We have collectively do something new for betterment of society in General and Particularly for coming Generations,I don't like my kids waste their energy in to meaningless activities.
Learning job of audit through RTI? Can you elaborate this Mr Gupta, because it sounds to me more like a joke? Since you are only a final student, better concentrate on your exams. Wasting time on utopian concepts will not help you to complete CA
Thakns for suggestion to Mayavi. Actually my fianl exam is due in Nov, 2006 and till date I am working on RTI. If you are really want to join the field of auditing please go through RTI. I think in successful working in our profession we will need so many times the use of RTI. Till any one not getting the job of audit he may use himself for RTI.

New Delhi: State-run telecom giant Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) today announced investment of a whopping Rs 60,000 crore in next three years to expand its GSM, Broadband and WLL services. A move that would help the PSU achieve top position by 2010.

"We will invest over Rs 20,000 every year till 2010 for expansion, which will include laying down additional lines for GSM, WLL and broadband," BSNL chairman and managing director Kuldeep Goyal said.

Most of the investment would come through internal accruals as the PSU has sufficient reserves, he said but did not rule out market borrowing at a later stage.

"I don't think we would need to go to market at least for one year," he said.

Although BSNL's profits would come under severe pressure as subsidy on rural operations has been withdrawn and the levy charged from private players (known as access deficit charge) would also be phased out from next year, yet Goyal was hopeful of meeting the requirement internally.

From a subscriber base of over 30 million mobiles now, representing a market share of about 22%, BSNL is aiming to regain its third position after Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications in the near future as it hopes to get additional capacity by January 2008.

"By 2010 we have planned to become number one GSM player with at least 33% market share. Government has a target of 500 million connections from about 240 million now. We have plans to add about 100 million new subscribers by then," Goyal added.

The PSU has been losing market share since last one year due to delays in adding capacity in GSM mobile and it was pushed to number four in the list of mobile operators after Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications and Vodafone Essar.

May RTI will Help You,All the Best.
