can a proxy be appointed for board of directors meeting?

Proxy can be appointed by shareholder in AGM

No, like Share Holders General Meetings Proxies are not allowed at Board meetings and directors are not allowed to appoint their representatives to attend the Board meetings and cast vote on their behalf.

Agreed with above,, proxies r not allowed for B.M

A DIRECTOR CAN VOTE ONLY IF HE IS PRESENT IN BM. HE CAN NOT APPOINT PROXY.

Unlike AGM the directors cannot appoint proxy for the Board Meeting
