No You can't file the return now. Upto Financial Year 2015-16 the return could have been filed Upto One year from the end of Assessment year (which comes up to 31st March 2018).
But The return for Financial year 2016-17 could have been filed maximum Upto 31.03.2018 (as amended by FA 2016).
But yes if there is REFUND or LOSSES TO BE CARRY FORWARD then you can apply for condonation.
