22 April 2013How to calculate late payment fees on MVAT & CST payment? WE want to pay MVAT & CST for the period Oct 12 to Mar 13. The due date for payment is 21.04.2013. But we are unable to pay the same on 21st April. So we are paying the same on today i.e.22nd April. So does we have to pay some late fee for MVAT & CST? How to calculate it? We are private limited company from Mumbai.

Dear Vinayak,
The best way to calculate interest & penalty amount as per MVAT is...
Put all the payble figure in 704 in challen details sheet (schedule A). The macros of 704 will calculate perfectly according to all rules. Its short cut, still it works.........

arre brother vinayak... the due date for payment has been extended for half yearly returns i guess... please check it before making payments... thanks...

Note the due date for payment for six monthly is 30th april as per mahavat pdf file attached herewith.
