Late filling of GSTR

One my client filed the returns for the month of March'2019 after due date of filling of returns(Return  filling date was 29-11.2019) , now, department asked to reversed/pay the amount of input availed for that period along with applicable interest.  

Please give your valuable advice for the above matter.

Yes same is need to reversed as not allow u/s 16(4)
