Yes.....
No... Not mandatory.
@ Mr. Raja P M Sir, if not mandatory why are department want last year turnover details in GSTR 1
Yes it mandatory to update turnover in Gstr1
I agree with Mr. Raja
every month updation of turnover is not compulsory.if one month updated ie April, it is enough. no need to update every month.

at least one month should be updated.or else system may not accepted to file return.
Agree with Mr. Murali
But Turnover Of Apr To Jun 2017 has already been inserted last year??
Thats what i want to say ,.. actualy the portal has not being updated in this regard
System accepts the return even if turnover details are not filled.
Better, if you fill turnover details (if you not filled system shown zero turnover)

What is "Turnover" for a proprietorship concern (a manufacturing unit) ? If the Proprietor has also bought & sold equity shares of listed companies under his own PAN during the previous year for example, would that turnover be also added to the business entity's sales turnover? Pls someone clarify. Thanks.

I too agree with everybody's view.

Simply said as per my understanding and given details for Your understands...

Remainder :
At the time of July 17 GST return the same details asked by CBEC* and Taxpayers are showing their Turn Over details in the same Column...

Current Scenario (GSTR 1 return - Apr 18) :
The same details or Same Column ask the same details without any changes or the nature...

Conclusion :
If it's mandatory then it's automatically update with our filing details... 😊😊😊
